Many journeys around Asia and particularly Japan, have lead me to a discipline forgotten in Europe for over a century: vegetable colouring. Colours extracted from plants with medicinal and dyeing qualities which converged in a society where the artistic world had boundaries of its own. A century has elapsed and vegetables dyes are again in vogue.
